Originally from San Juan, PR, Yiselle Santos Rivera, AIA, SHRM-SCP, NOMA, is a pioneering architect dedicated to breaking down barriers and elevating underrepresented voices in design. A leader in intercultural experience design, Yiselle creates inclusive solutions for underserved communities and advises firms on fostering welcoming practices. She co-founded the LA.IDEA DC Committee in 2013 and launched "Women Inspiring Emerging Leaders in Design" (WIELD) in 2017, which won the AIA Diversity Program Recognition Award in 2019. Recognized with numerous honors, including the 2022 AIA Young Architect Award, Yiselle continues to lead as AIADC Chapter Immediate Past President and NAAB Board Director.
