Maurice Cox is Emma Bloomberg Professor in Residence of Urban Planning and Design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. An urban designer and former public official, he has held leadership roles in Chicago and Detroit, served as mayor of Charlottesville, and was Design Director for the National Endowment for the Arts. He is known for using design as a tool for urban revitalization and equitable development.
