Amy is an entrepreneur, connector, and industry leader whose work bridges high design, sustainability, and engineering-driven project management. In 2015, she founded Odimo to deliver a vision-focused approach for clients seeking innovative and impactful design solutions. As a Partner at SLATTERY, Amy oversees project work across the firm, ensuring each design aligns with the client's vision, budget, and schedule. Her portfolio spans arts, commercial, and community projects, with specialized expertise in research laboratory planning that brings a strong technical precision to every endeavor.
Early in her career, Amy was the founding director of Women in Design Kansas City, building the organization to be one of the first committees to host an AIA National Women's Leadership Summit in 2011. She instigates, organizes, and speaks on the topic of architectural practice and diversity in the AEC industry including leadership with the AIA Diversity & Inclusion Council, KC CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), and the Kansas City ULI (Urban Land Institute) Women's Leadership Initiative. She acted as Chair and Trustee of the AIA National Trust. She continues to lead within the AIA through speaking engagements and on Design and Award juries at the local, regional, and national levels.
Amy is an adjunct instructor at the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Design, where she lectures on the topic of professional practice. She has been a design juror at several universities, and has served on advisory boards at the University of Kansas, University of Missouri and Drury University. She is a member of NOMA-KC, an advisor to the Women in Design committee of AIAKC and represents the small business and AEC design industry in the Kansas City regional entrepreneurial ecosystem through roundtables and community boards, most recently with the Riverfront Advisory Board for the Port Authority of Kansas City.
